Spring 2012 - Annapolis, Maryland
Brian Johnson of Fitness by Brian was honored as a nominee among Annapolis' Finest to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis
Foundation.

There were many different ways to raise money, but Brian chose to organize an event called "Jail Night".

Brian offered himself up to be locked up in a life-sized jail cell at a favorite locals spot in Annapolis. Attendees to the event could pay to put their friends and loved ones in jail, too.

The fee for this good-natured fun was a "steal" at just  $2.00 per minute.  Fitness by Brian raised over 1200.00!

Dear friends,

In 2011 I was proud and honored to be invited to participate in our beloved Light House Shelter's annual fashion show. It was a blast! So much fun for such a fantastic cause. I also donated private in-home training sessions for a silent auction to benefit the Lighthouse Shelter.

If you don't know who these courageous, generous, kind folks are, here's some basic info about them:
The new Light House houses four separate facilities in one 24,000 sq. ft. green, secure, and cost efficient building:
  • Emergency Shelter – beds for 30 men and 15 women for 90 days as long as they remain employed, remain alcohol & drug free, and work toward self-sufficiency
  • Transitional Housing - family apartments for 5 adults and 20 children
  • Resource and Support Center - offering education, job training, and life-skill services
  • Chronically Homeless Day Center – giving long-term homeless individuals basic human services during daylight hours.
The Light House is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing shelter, food, clothing and job training to homeless folks and those who are at risk of becoming homeless. They depend on the continued financial support and volunteer contributions from private citizens, churches and synagogues, businesses, and government agencies. Please visit the Lighthouse Shelter website for more information ... and most importantly, to see how

Dear Friends,
This past year, we were thrilled to be a sponsor for the Junior League Of Annapolis' First Annual Pub Crawl in Downtown Annapolis. The event was a fun way to raise money, support our local pubs, and get a buzz going about our beloved downtown Annapolis. Please support the Junior League Of Annapolis whenever you can!http://www.jlannapolis.org/jla/index.jspYours,Brian JohnsonPS:
We regularly donate multiple training sessions to silent auctions to raise money in tandem with the Junior League of Annapolis. So, check back often to catch one of these great events!

Fridays 8/7C
In late September of 2011 I was presented with an opportunity to be part of something "Extreme". An acquaintance on a social website who read one of my daily motivational recommended that I look into the EMHE launch party that was coming up the following week.

The launch party filled with me with excitement. I could not wait to be part of this tremendous endeavor to change the lives of a family forever.

(See my partnership with Extreme Makeover: Home EditionBranches PSP & The Fusion Companies by visiting the sponsorship area of the website.)

I volunteered the services of Fitness By Brian to stretch and loosen up volunteers to keep away on-site injuries. I even arranged for the insulation company I represent to install the insulation for the family in need.  After a long, sleepless weekend of helping the build take place, and a long ride home, it was even harder to fall asleep from the excitement and fulfillment of the project!

Thank you to Jen Cochran at Branches Professional Services Provider, Todd French of Thermal Dynamiks, Wes Sims at The Fusion Companies, to all the folks who volunteered on this challenging project, and
